Filter Fleece Roll for Belt Filter Systems & Coolant
Ensure maximum purity in your production: the right filter fleece roll optimises the filtration of coolant, emulsions and oils. Our belt filter fleece, made from viscose or polypropylene (PP), is engineered specifically for the demands of metalworking.
Whether for grinding systems, turning centres or milling machines, you'll find the right filter fleece here to reliably remove particles, extend coolant service life and sustainably reduce maintenance costs.
Typical applications include filtering coolant in metalworking, as well as use in belt filter systems from a wide range of manufacturers.

Efficient Filtration for Metalworking and Grinding Systems
In modern manufacturing, coolant purity determines the quality of the end product. Our filter fleece (available as a fleece roll) is designed specifically for use in belt filter systems. Whether turning, milling or grinding, the right belt filter fleece ensures particles and swarf are reliably removed from the coolant. This sustainably cuts your maintenance costs and boosts the efficiency of your entire plant.
Viscose Filter Fleece or PP Filter Fleece: The Right Material for Your Process
Depending on your filtration performance requirements, we offer different material compositions:
- Viscose fleece roll (30g & 50g): Ideal for drilling and milling centres. Viscose filter fleece is excellent for standard filtration of emulsions and cutting oils. For many applications, the filter fleece roll, viscose 50g is the all-rounder for capturing metal swarf in classic belt filter systems. For lighter filtration, we recommend the viscose 30g roll.
- PP filter fleece (20g & 150g): Polypropylene (PP) stands out for its high chemical resistance. While the filter fleece roll 20g PP is especially wet-strength and tear-resistant for medium particles, the filter fleece 150g PP delivers genuine 3D depth filtration for the finest fractions.
Speciality Solution: Filter Fleece Roll for Grinding Machines
Fine filtration is especially critical for surface finish in grinding processes. Our filter fleece for grinding systems (150g PP) was developed to bind the smallest sludge particles deep within the material. This fine filtration prevents the grinding wheel from clogging and protects your pumps over the long term.

Frequently Asked Questions About Filter Fleece and Belt Filter Systems
Here you'll find answers to the most common questions about filter fleece rolls and belt filter systems. Benefit from our more than 50 years of experience in coolant filtration. If your question isn't covered here, just get in touch with us directly!
Choosing the right belt filter fleece depends on the type of contamination and the coolant used. For standard turning and milling applications, viscose filter fleece (30g or 50g) is most commonly used, since it's highly absorbent. For more aggressive media, or where high tear resistance is required, PP filter fleece is recommended. For grinding systems, a heavier fleece (e.g. 150g PP) is the best choice for fine filtration.
Viscose fleece is made from natural fibres, absorbs emulsions very well, and offers good depth performance for standard particles. PP filter fleece (polypropylene), on the other hand, is more chemically resistant, extremely wet-strength and tear-resistant. While viscose is often the all-rounder, PP filter fleece excels in special requirements such as 3D depth filtration or very fine grinding dust.
A high-quality filter fleece continuously removes swarf, abrasion and foreign oils from the circuit. This keeps the coolant clean, reduces bacterial load, and maintains consistent cooling performance. Effective filtration through the right belt filter fleece reduces the need for refills and significantly lowers your maintenance costs.
Grinding generates extremely fine particles (grinding sludge) that can quickly clog standard fleece. A speciality filter fleece for grinding machines such as our 150g PP fleece enables 3D depth filtration. This binds particles not just on the surface, but throughout the entire structure of the fleece roll. This guarantees a higher surface finish on workpieces and protects your plant's high-pressure pumps.
Our fleece rolls for belt filter systems are available in various standard widths and roll lengths to fit all common plant types. Whether narrow belts for mobile systems or wide rolls for central coolant cleaning systems, we supply the right configuration for your needs. Request advice!
