Our Filtration Expertise

For more than five decades, we have developed technical filtration solutions for industrial applications, combining textile manufacturing with practical experience from a wide range of industries.

Our range covers a broad spectrum of filtration products, from filter bags and filter sacks to filter cloths and nonwoven media, as well as specialised solutions such as anode bags, cathode bags and activated-carbon filtration components. Filters for rainwater systems, industrial processes and sludge dewatering are also part of our day-to-day work.

Our filtration products are used in, among other areas:

  • electroplating lines
  • water treatment systems
  • paint finishing lines
  • grinding systems
  • rainwater tanks and rainwater systems
  • road gullies
  • industrial plants

Many of our filters are not standard catalogue products but individually adapted solutions matched to our customers’ machines, plants and processes.

Textile Manufacturing and Laser Cutting

Alongside filtration technology, laser cutting technical textiles is one of our core capabilities.

With modern laser cutting systems, we produce:

  • precise filter cut parts
  • technical textile components
  • custom parts for industrial plants
  • prototypes and small batches

Laser cutting enables clean cut edges, high repeatability and economical production even at low quantities.

The combination of filtration expertise and textile laser cutting is one of our particular strengths.

Custom Solutions and Technical Advice

Many industrial applications cannot be solved with standard products. We therefore support customers from the first idea through to the finished filtration solution.

Together, we analyse existing plants and processes, clarify technical requirements and develop suitable filtration solutions. Our customers benefit from the combination of technical expertise and more than five decades of practical filtration experience.

Our development team combines technical and scientific knowledge with many years of manufacturing experience. The result is solutions that work not only in theory but in everyday industrial use.

We support customers with, for example:

  • new plants and projects
  • optimising existing filtration systems
  • developing custom solutions
  • selecting suitable filter media

Our customers particularly value practical advice, short communication paths and fast implementation.

Today, the company is managed by Dr Dirk Schröer, Christiane Schröer and Mats Schröer.

Dr. Dirk Schröer

Dr Dirk Schröer holds a doctorate in chemistry and has extensive scientific and technical knowledge of filtration and industrial process engineering. Alongside his work at WINKLER Filtertechnik, he is managing director and owner of arrandee metal GmbH + Co. KG in Werther, a company specialising in technical metal coatings and thin-film materials for scientific and industrial applications.

Christiane Schröer

Christiane Schröer is a qualified textile engineer and contributes particular expertise in technical textiles, filter materials and textile manufacturing.

In 1995, she worked on Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s Wrapped Reichstag project in Berlin, where she was responsible for quality control of the fabric used. The internationally recognised project, visited by millions of people, placed particularly high demands on material quality and textile workmanship.

Mats Schröer

With Mats Schröer, the next generation is already working in the business. He holds a Master’s degree in psychology and supports the company’s development particularly in organisational and strategic areas, helping to secure the long-term continuation of the family business.

By combining scientific expertise, textile know-how and decades of practical experience, WINKLER Filtertechnik brings technical competence together with practical solutions.

Today, we combine traditional manufacturing with modern technology and digital processes.

Sustainability and Responsibility

Sustainability is important to us.

Installing a photovoltaic system was another step towards lower-carbon production.

Many of our filtration solutions themselves contribute to environmental protection, for example:

microplastic filtration systems

rainwater filters

sludge dewatering

Our Symbol – the Kingfisher

The kingfisher is our emblem.

Where the kingfisher thrives, waterways are still healthy, which is why it represents clean water and effective environmental technology.

Its iridescent plumage symbolises the diversity of our products.
Its speed represents our ability to deliver quickly.
And its agility represents our flexibility.

As a medium-sized company competing with much larger market participants, we succeed through speed and adaptability, just like the kingfisher.
