ScopeWhat this laser cutting service does not cut
Most searches for a laser cutting service are not looking for textiles. They are looking for sheet metal, acrylic or plywood, and often for a supplier in the next town. It is worth saying plainly what this page is, because the difference is not a matter of capacity but of physics.
A CO₂ laser separates a textile by melting it in the kerf. That works with thermoplastics. It does not work with metal on this type of machine, it produces a different process entirely with acrylic and wood, and with natural fibres it chars rather than melts.
We cut synthetic technical textiles: PES, PP, PE, PA, filter fabrics, nonwovens, synthetic felt, textile membranes.
We do not cut metal, acrylic, plywood, MDF, foam board, glass, leather or paper.
We do not sell laser machines, and we do not run an open workshop for walk-in jobs.
We are not a local cutting shop. Parts are cut in Werther and shipped, which suits repeat and series work better than one-off jobs where the postage exceeds the part.
If your part is textile, the rest of this page is for you. If it is not, a general laser cutting company will serve you better and faster.
