Yard Bucket Retention System for Plastic Pellets – 70 µm Complete Set

Precision Protection for Yard Drains Under EU Regulation 2025/2365

Wherever plastic pellets are processed or stored, yard drains are the critical interface with the environment. Our yard bucket set with a 70 µm micron rating was developed specifically for point drainage on industrial sites. It actively helps industrial operators meet the strict requirements of EU Regulation 2025/2365 and stop pellet emissions (microplastics) right at the source. As a specialised plastic pellet retention system, this set offers a legally compliant solution built to modern industry standards.

This ready-to-install set is the ideal technical solution for companies that need to demonstrate, as part of Operation Clean Sweep audits, that their drainage systems are secured against pellet loss. While standard drain baskets only catch coarse debris, our specialised fabric reliably retains even the finest abrasion.

Optimised for Drainage Close to Production

The yard bucket is used above all wherever maximum security is required in a tight space. It's a key component for clean infrastructure in sectors such as Energy & the Environment and Chemicals & Raw Materials:

No-Compromise Engineering: The Winkler Sealing System

A retention system is only as good as its seal. Our system prevents particles from "slipping through" past the bucket wall using a mechanical forced-flow design:

  1. Precision-fit collar: The 70 µm filter has an integrated collar that fits flush over the rim of the yard bucket.
  2. Robust drawstring: Fixing is via a reinforced drawstring that presses the filter firmly against the bucket body.
  3. Full filtration performance: Because we deliberately avoid a bypass (emergency overflow), all surface water must pass through the high-performance fabric – making pellet loss technically impossible.

Comparing the Retention System Models

Use the following overview to find the right system for your existing infrastructure:

Model Application Bucket type (dimensions) Special feature

FAQ – Granulate Retention System 70 µm for Yard Buckets

Useful information on technically implementing EU Regulation 2025/2365 and protecting your drainage systems.

Why is a 70 µm micron rating necessary for industrial sites?

+
The 70 µm mesh size ensures that not just standard plastic pellets, but also the finest abrasion and microparticles are reliably stopped. This is a key requirement for meeting the limits set by EU Regulation 2025/2365 and demonstrating the best possible technical barrier at environmental audits such as Operation Clean Sweep.

How is the yard bucket fitted with the retention system?

+
Installation is designed as a plug-and-play solution. Since you receive a pre-assembled complete set, the yard bucket just needs fitting into the existing catch basin. The integrated filter collar and reinforced drawstring ensure the system seals tightly against the bucket rim, so no particles bypass the filter.

How is the retention system cleaned and maintained?

+
Maintenance is done by simply removing the yard bucket. The retained pellets can be disposed of properly or returned to the production cycle. The chemical-resistant, high-performance fabric can be rinsed with clean water as needed to maintain surface water permeability over the long term.

Is there a risk of overflow during heavy rainfall with this system?

+
We deliberately avoid a classic emergency overflow (bypass) in this system, since it could let pellets reach the sewer network uncontrolled. The 70 µm fabric offers high flow capacity. In extreme heavy rainfall, the system prioritises retention to protect the environment from emissions, while water is discharged in a controlled way through the fine filter fabric.

Can the filter be replaced individually if damaged?

+
Yes, the system is built to be modular and sustainable. You don't need to dispose of the whole set if the fabric wears out after years of intensive use. We offer the 70 µm filter as a separate replacement part, which can simply be fitted to the original Winkler yard bucket using the existing drawstring system.
