Sealing and Installation Within the Winkler System
Even in this shallow design, we rely on a stable mechanical barrier. The Winkler system for Form D1 uses targeted fixing:
- Precision-fit manufacturing: The 70 µm high-performance fabric is dimensionally cut to match the D1 drain basket (Ø 395 mm, H 325 mm).
- Industrial fixing: A reinforced drawstring presses the filter tightly against the bucket body, making it mechanically harder for pellets to pass through uncontrolled.
- Important note on retention performance: Since this filter is made without an integrated collar, full bypass-freedom cannot be guaranteed. However, incoming water is largely directed through the fine filter fabric, effectively minimising pellet loss.
