Infiltration shaft filter bag for rainwater filtration & infiltration (DN1000–DN2500)

Efficient surface drainage and sustainable soil protection

Sealed surfaces such as parking lots, industrial areas, and logistics centers accumulate numerous pollutants: tire abrasion, microplastics, particulate matter, leaves, and waste . Without pre-treatment, these particles enter the soil or downstream infiltration systems directly.

The WINKLER infiltration shaft filter bag is a highly effective and economical solution for rainwater filtration . It reliably removes solids from the rainwater before it seeps into the ground – entirely without costly modifications to the existing shaft system.

Further solutions for municipal applications can be found in the area of filter technology, traffic & logistics – street drains & rainwater .

Two-layer filter system for maximum cleaning performance

The filter system consists of two coordinated layers of polypropylene needle felt and combines coarse and fine filtration in one product:

  • Internal filter (coarse structure): Retention of leaves, debris and coarse sediments
  • External filter (fine structure): Separation of the finest particles down to 80 µm

This combination extends the service life and ensures the long-term infiltration performance of the shaft.

DWA-compliant rainwater treatment

The filter bag meets a throughput value of 0.5 according to DWA-M 153 and DWA-A 138. It therefore supports municipalities, planners and industrial companies in implementing applicable water management requirements.

It is particularly suitable for projects in:

Easy installation and maintenance (DN1000 – DN2500)

Thanks to stable, circumferential tabs, the filter bag can be quickly and securely fixed in the seepage pit.

  • Quick change: Lift out using tabs and pull rope – no special tools required
  • Perfect fit: Available for DN1000, DN1500, DN2000, DN2500
  • Special sizes: Individual production available upon request

Suitable accessories for secure installation

For a permanently stable and secure fastening, we recommend the specially designed Mounting kit for soakaway filter bags . The system allows for quick initial assembly and particularly efficient filter changes using carabiners and heavy-duty anchors. The galvanized components remain permanently in the shaft, significantly simplifying maintenance.

Your advantages at a glance

  • High filtration performance: Retention of fine particles down to 80 µm

FAQ – Soakaway filter bag for rainwater and infiltration

Frequently asked questions about rainwater filtration in the soakaway

The infiltration shaft filter bag ensures that solids are reliably removed from rainwater before the water enters trenches or infiltration systems. This keeps infiltration systems functioning properly in the long term and reduces maintenance and siltation.

What is a seepage pit filter bag used for?

A soakaway filter bag is installed in soakaway pits to retain dirt particles, microplastics, and organic residues from rainwater. This prevents pollutants from entering the soil or downstream infiltration systems.

Typical areas of application include parking lots, industrial areas, commercial areas and paved courtyards.

What particles does the seepage pit filter bag retain?

The filter bag retains both coarse contaminants such as leaves or debris and fine dirt particles down to approximately 80 µm. The two-layer filter system reliably separates different particle sizes.

This improves water quality and protects infiltration trenches and seepage systems from clogging.

For which shaft sizes is the filter bag suitable?

The infiltration shaft filter bag is available for common shaft sizes such as DN1000, DN1500, DN2000 and DN2500. Custom sizes are also available to ensure a precise fit in existing shafts.

A precisely fitting design ensures a secure hold and even flow.

How is a seepage pit filter bag installed?

The filter bag is attached to the drainage shaft using the sturdy tabs. Installation can be carried out in just a few steps and requires no structural modifications to the shaft.

To change the filter bag, simply lift it out with a rope or hook and replace it.

How often does a seepage pit filter bag need to be changed?

The replacement interval depends on the level of contamination and the amount of rainfall. Heavily polluted areas such as parking lots or industrial yards may require more frequent replacement.

Changing the drain in a timely manner ensures that the infiltration capacity is maintained and that no deposits form in the shaft.
